BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CONFERENCE
January 19, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
More than a million Coloradans face a mental health or substance use disorder each year, but only half get the care they need. The consequences can be catastrophic: crowded emergency rooms and prison cells, increased unemployment and homelessness, and one of the highest suicide rates in the nation.
Metropolitan State University’s Department of Social Work and the Health Resources & Services Administration are coordinating an inaugural Behavioral Health Conference to connect students with community organizations and experts who work in the behavioral health field.
Mental Health Colorado President & CEO Andrew Romanoff will talk about the state of mental health in Colorado and what communities can do to take action.
Registration info to be announced.
