Participate in a Mental Health & Discrimination Research Study
Share your experiences and help make Colorado a safe and supportive place for all people and their mental health.
In collaboration with the Colorado School of Public Health, we are conducting interviews with adults in Colorado, over the age of 18, who have experienced a mental health condition and discrimination. We would like to understand these experiences better in hopes of contributing to a world in which people with mental health experiences aren’t discriminated against.
Mental health and the experience of discrimination is an important aspect of health to understand. It’s also an issue that we don’t know that much about. Discrimination can look many ways: it can be in finding and keeping a house or a job, coming from health providers, and even from our own family and friends. Advocates often communicate on behalf of people with mental health conditions and describe their experiences related to discrimination from a second-hand perspective, but we want to hear directly from people who have had these experiences. We want to hear from you!
The interview may take between 30 minutes and an hour. If you complete the interview, you will receive a $20 gift card.
