The message of American Tragedy is that love is not enough to prevent mental illness. A robust, preventative approach is going to require significant changes in the fields of mental health, education and parenting—including a focus on development during early childhood.
American Tragedy: Love is Not Enough includes Sue Klebold’s journey from the depths of agony to becoming an advocate for mental health and wellness. That journey is punctuated by interviews with other suicide loss survivors who share similar stories.
