NATIONAL RECOVERY MONTH
An estimated 67,000 Coloradans with substance use disorders need treatment but do not receive it. Among the barriers: stigma, cost, and a shortage of available services. Untreated substance use disorders contribute to unemployment, homelessness, physical health problems, incarceration, and early death. We work with state and local policymakers to increase treatment resources, prevent the onset of substance use disorders in adolescents, and guarantee equal insurance coverage.
