Do you support school policies and funding that increase the availability of mental health services in schools and early childhood settings?
- No: The private sector is best at providing quality and affordable mental health services. Government attempting to fund these services takes away funds from teachers and the classroom.
Do you support additional funding for follow-up care for individuals after a suicide attempt or overdose?
- No: I support private funding of these services, not government funding. Private organizations, charities, and churches are best suited to helping individuals overcome addition and mental health issues.
Do you support extreme risk protection orders?
- No: This is a well-intentioned, bad idea. Although it seems reasonable in the hands of moral law enforcement, if it falls into the hands of corrupt law enforcement it can be used to deprive a lawful gun owner of his/her right to keep and bear arms.
